I love the color use of this portrait, as well as how accurately you displayed Korra's two strongest elements of Water and Fire! The pose seems pretty strong to me, as well as having a nice all around impact that adds to the image well. Another main thing that stood out to me is the various brush strokes and textures, and how well you used them to go over the entire painting and add areas of interest rather then just going with one basic color scheme or flat pallet. I think originality wise I can't say much besides for your outstanding technique, because it is a portrait of a pre-existing character, but all in all I'd say you've managed to breathe new life into her quite nicely through your technique!
It's very nice done and the style is awesome too. But, i have to say, the shadows at her breasts, they doesn't seem right to me. I know that she doesn't have a big chest, cause i've seen the series, but i think that, well, it's a bit hard to describe it, but i'll give it a try. It just don't makes the chest look fluent, a womans chest has curves in it and there it's hard to see those fluent curves, and it looks like a bit too harsh, too much of it there. For example, on her body you can see the good effect of the light that comes from her right hand, the shadows are on one side, but the on her chest, the shadow is fully on both breasts. And now, the main problem i guess i have with it, for me, it looks like the shadow covers half of the breasts. Oh god, i hope you understand what i mean and don't take this wrong x.x
