I didn't want to take many liberties here, since I'm probably not experienced to do so yet. The lines are here: [link]
. I decided to ink this traditionally and it worked out pretty nicely. Sitting in front of the computer meant I got to add color right away, which is a nice feeling. I didn't put a background, but I might add one later for fun. I do need more practice with backgrounds, after all.
The style is heavily influenced by... uhm... a very vulgar artist by the name of Ishikei. The coloring, at least. Shiny stuff against hard contrast, and for once I took the chance of using hatching in the line work (which I never do for colored drawings). I'm thinking overall that's a common practice, the highlights at least, in the style.
